I have been making pottery since 2003. It's been a 'late in life' desire to focus my attention on working in clay for its calming and satisfying benefits. Many of my pieces reflect the lines of ancient Greek, Mesolithic and Art Deco eras. Inspiration can also be found in something as simple as a ripple on water.

However, I do like the idea of functionality in my work. It gives the piece another dimension if you can enjoy the use of it in daily life. Some work is meant to be studied and admired from a distance.  And some work is an everyday, functional item and meant to be in your hands.  Both are unique and special, and made by an individual for an individual.
